Description
Extremely rare to find cracked ice celluloid used on a model 48, bird and trout hunting knife. This example has full blades, which are free from scratches, and poor sharpening marks.
This is an early Western, circa 1950's, because of the double black spacer instead of red in the middle of the spacer pattern.
The handles show no signs of shrinkage of the celluloid.
The blade has a blood groove, and is rust free. The stamping is excellent, very deep and readable.
The sheath is the foldover style with leather lacing. RARE. Black button keeper strap which is probably a replacement strap for the original
Overall length is 8 inches, with blade length of 4 inches.
If you don't have many celluloid Western's, you need to give this one serious consideration.
