    Old hunting skinning knife from Schrade Cutlery Co. manufactured in their Ellenville, NY factory long before they went out of business in their 2004 bankruptcy. This was one of their most popular fixed blade models. It has a carbon steel blade and two "sawcut Delrin" (plastic) handles attached to the full tang with two brass rivets. One handle has the "OLD TIMER" shield set into it. It has been carried, used and sharpened, probably left in the sheath (long gone, sorry) too long so it developed rust on the exposed steel. I cleaned it up and sharpened it so that it is usable once again. Like all carbon steel knives, with should be wiped down with food grade mineral oil after use to prevent rust.
