CONDITION: The blade has a dark old patina, along with some scratches and wear. NOTE - the maker's name is worn and is hard to read. The blade edge has a few light nicks. The thin brass guard appears to have been bent at one time, and has an unusual shape. (NOTE - do not attempt to bend the guard, or any old brass. Usually brass bends once, and the second time its bent, it breaks.) The stag handles are in good condition, and not cracked or split. NOTE - the right handle is pushed out in front from the frame just a bit. The sheath is a locally made modern replacement which fits the knife very well, however, it is not a B. Svoboda product.

    Vintage Stag Handle Bowie Knife B. Svoboda Cutlery, Solingen, Germany
    -->  This is a vintage bowie knife made by B. Svoboda in Solingen, Germany.  The knife has a thick, heavy blade, with a length of 8 inches. The knife has an overall length of 12 & 7/8 inches.  It has a brass double guard and stag handles.  Please NOTE - the knife comes with a modern brown leather sheath. The sheath was made locally in Oregon for this knife and fits the knife very well, however, it is not a Svoboda made product.
