. A handsome knife with a 12" rounded blade, heavy "S" shaped brass guard, walnut handle with deep cut finger grooves and rounded of with a brass cap. Overall length of knife is 17 5/16". This specimen is stamped on the reverse with the date 1908 and on the obverse is stamped US 7045. This specimen has

"SA" (Springfield Armory) and a flaming bomb were added above the
