First, I do not know how sharp this knife is, so it may need to be sharpened for optimal use. Cosmetically, the item does have some scratches and marks, most notably on the handle. The wood grain portion of the handle is not in perfect condition and does seem to show some wear as it doesn't sit 100% flush with the metal in certain spots.
