According to the book, "Official Collectors KNIVES"  the blade stamping indicates the date of manufacturing
between 1965  to  1969.
Remember “Back in the day” these older knives were purchased to be used…

collected, making this
great vintage condition
hard to find.

BLADE
:
This vintage Case XX hunting knife has a
reflective steel blade
and
pointed tip
. The blade features a
1" long
notched thumb rest area
for
better blade control.
The
mirror-like finish
on the fixed blade show some faint surface
scratches or light honing marks. There is a
2" long
"false top blade edge"
and could be sharpened if desired. There are some tiny age specks at the tip area but overall the knife is in
Very Good vintage condition
.

HANDLE
:
The well constructed handle has secure
black composite
and
aluminum
spacers
at each end.  Everything is tight
with No movement. The handle is Case factory designed with finger grooves for a secure grip.
The shiny
aluminum "birds head style" pommel and aluminum finger guard are secure.
The half guard has a few
minor imperfections and light patina and the handle has a few light signs of handling, normal for being decades old.
This
8.5" overall size hunting knife
feels well balanced
and
solid
, when held in your hand.
SHEATH
:
The companion leather sheath is in E
xceptionally G
ood condition
. This vintage sheath has
great
intact stitching
,
large belt loop
,
shiny
metal rivets,
and
working snap strap.
There is a
stiff throat
area and the sheath shows only minor signs of handling.
The front of the sheath is factory tooled with a handsome
basket weave design
. This well fitting vintage  leather sheath is not original, but offers secure carrying while in the field.

The hunting knife has
a lot of character and vintage appeal....with that slight "
patina of time"
appearance not yet achieved with newer knives.
