Description
This auction is for an early American sterling silver Napkin Ring marked with "182 / S" and a "B".Early American sterling silver napkin rings were often marked like this with a pattern number and an "S".
The "B" could be the Gorham date mark for 1869 but
I would think that it would bear Gorham marks if that were the case.
Regardless of maker, it is an early sterling silver napkin ring with reed and beaded borders made circa 1865 - 1885.
The napkin ring measures about 1.75" in diameter by 1.50" in height. It weighs 18.9 grams or 0.60 troy ounces.
This napkin ring is in fine condition with a small rim nick and a minor ding above the monogram between the H & C.
This napkin ring has a monogram of "HCB" on one side and it is inscribed "from Uncle Bert" on the opposite side.
This is one of several items that I will offer this evening in {{detail_product_description}}.99 no reserve auctions.
