10 vintage ca. early 19th century ca. 1903-15ish vignetted canceled bank checks from "Filer & Stowell co., Engineers, Machinists & Founders, Milwaukee, Wis.".
This was a huge 19th into the 20th century industrial complex near Becher and Lincoln Avenue in Milwaukee. They were supposedly the largest Wisconsin employer at one time. F&S made everything from Corliss steam engines, sawmill equipment, automobiles, fire hydrants, you name it, F&S made it!
These measure 9 x 3". I will pick 10 checks off this pile for you! If I feel generous, I will toss in a couple extras as a gift!
